The Parallel Presents methodology can be applied to any sphere of everyday life, such as food, transport, housing, energy and clothing. It can be used to envision an overall system or to focus on a particular locality or organisation.

Parallel Presents is structured in three stages: writing, prototyping and enacting. Instructions are available for each stage, and can be adapted to suit the context in terms of focus, duration and format.

Amy and her team are able to offer facilitated Parallel Presents sessions to organisations and groups outside formal education settings.

The Parallel Presents methodology was first developed as part of the Fashion Fictions project, which has invited thousands of people around the world to speculate on alternative fashion systems.
